Can Castle Competition @ Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex
Nov 20 @ 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Join us as we compete for a cause and take action against hunger!!!

Families will compete to build a castle made entirely out of canned goods. Families will be provided with 20 cans and given 20 minutes to build their most creative can castle! After the event all canned goods will be donated to the Virginia Food Bank and Hayden’s Food Pantry! Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams – don’t miss out!

We’ll have holiday music fun with Morningside residents led by Mrs. Julie of The Music Post, yummy treats, and kids will make Christmas wreaths to decorate the resident’s doors! Come join us as we scatter holiday kindness!

Festive Fun Kindness Project @ Pineapple Inn & Housing Center

Join us for a jolly good time! Families will partner with families of The Pineapple Inn and have fun going to different holiday themed stations where ornaments will be made, games will be played, and cupcakes will be decorated! At the end Kindness Project families will hand out holiday goody bags they have made to the families. We will be inside in the community room at The Pineapple Inn (second floor). Lemonade & Smiles Kindness Project @ Morningside Assisted Living Center

Join us as we set up a lemonade stand and hand out lemonade & smiles (goody bags) to the residents of Morningside Assisted Living Center. Please arrive at 10am to help put together goody bags. Our lemonade stand will be set up in the court yard. Scattering kindness in Williamsburg this summer!

Fill the Pantry Kindness Project @ FISH Pantry

FREE KINDNESS PROJECT! AUGUST 29th!

When asked what they needed most this summer FISH asked us if we could host another “fill the pantry produce collection” to benefit local families. They run very low on fresh fruits and often do not have any to hand out in the summertime. So let’s join together and fill FISH’s pantry with produce for our local families in need. Children will also tap into their inner artist as they decorate food collection bags for FISH to use during food distribution times!

Families are asked to bring fresh non-refridgerated produce to donate to fish (apples, organges, bananas, pineapple, sweet potatoes…) They are also very low on jelly & cereal if you’d rather bring one of these items 🙂

*** If you are unable to bring produce PLEASE feel free to still join us for the kindness project as we will need help sorting the produce, decorating bags, and pulling the produce wagons down to the pantry!

We will meet in the conference room at FISH to sort produce & decorate bags.

Creativity Rocks Kindness Project @ Artfully Yours

Families are invited to spread some kindness this holiday season!!!

Participants will be decorating rocks to hide around Williamsburg (and spread some cheer), as well as making holiday cards to be delivered with Meals on Wheels this Christmas. This event is sponsored by The Community Kindness Project and Williamsburg Rocks.

 

THIS IS A FREE EVENT! But space is limited to the first 50 people who register.

 

** Please sign up per person who will be participating in the creativity crafts NOT per family. (ex. if you have three kids who will be participating you will need to register for three individual spots!)
